1: No animal testing!
2: It uses the best ingredients!
From Fairtrade vanilla essence, to Colombian coco butter, Lush knows where each ingredient comes from, and what they're good for. Colombian coco butter is found in most body conditioners and moisturizers from Lush, and is the key ingredient to deeply nourished skin. Lavender, Patchouli and only the best natural essential oils. Dream cream is amazing for Eczema and many people can only use this one! The more high end products like Gorgeous face moisturizer uses more expensive ingredients like Myrrh Resinoid extracted from Myrrh.
'When a tree wound penetrates through the bark and into the sapwood, the tree bleeds a resin. Myrrh gum, like frankincense, is such a resin.'
3: It's all so beautiful to the eye!
Whenever I go shopping, I can never not go into Lush, The colours and the displays draw me in like a hook. I appreciate how amazing it all looks, because I know someone has gone to great effort to make this product almost perfect in every way. I say almost because sometimes you can try something and not like it and that's okay, that's why it's best to (if you can) ask for a sample first. The bath bombs are always so gorgeous to when they explode into lots of different colours making you look forward to your bath.. or shower. I'm a big fan of Magic Wand it's pink and sparkly and has a silver ribbon, who wouldn't want something that looks great?
4: They smell amazing!
My favorite smell has got to be the best loved Comforter. The shower gel, the bubble bar anything that smells like it. It reminds me of berries! I was told it was the Bergamot that was the key scent. So now anything with this makes me tingle with goodness. I have now invested in Reindeer Rock a new soap out for Christmas, it smells incredible. I also like smells like Candy floss and bubblegum so you can probably already tell I'm obsessed with Snow Fairy, Magic Wand, Candy Mountain and Fairy Dust? Ooh and Rockstar Soap!
5: The staff are incredible!
I always used to be that little bit intimidated by so much good customer service that I sometimes used to anticipate going in Lush because I thought I was going to be bombarded with all these.. "Hello, can I help you buy something that makes me lots of money?" (which is what it seemed like). It's actually not like that at all, they really are honest and genuine and care about the experience you get out of the product. If they ask if you need any help, take the offer up because chances are they've been trained by the best and know exactly what they're talking about. If you're looking for something in particular then let them help you, try new things out have lots of fun letting them do all the thinking and explaining whilst getting covered in beautiful products. It doesn't in any sense mean you have to buy something at the end, they are there to help you find whats best for you, or if you're just having a browse help you have the best fun whilst doing so!
6: They have everything!
From the famous bath bomb to the underrated toner tabs, Lush pretty much have everything cosmetic wise. And if they don't and you have an idea pitch it! I love how they're thinking of new cool inventions everyday. My new favorite is Fairy Dust, a shimmery candy smelling body powder. Lush is always considering sensitive skin, and most bath bombs are designed with sensitive skin in mind. If your little one has Eczema this doesn't mean they have to miss out the fun of a bath bomb. Blackberry bath bomb or Butterball/Butterbear are the best!
7: They're different!
Who else do you know do solid shampoo bars and conditioners? Who else do you know do shower smoothies and jellies? Well I don't but its blooming fantastic! I mean I have to admit trying to use night wing shower jelly for the first time was hilarious but it smelt incredible and actually feels fabulous! Also it smells like lime jelly babies!
Anyway, Lush is a definite keeper for now, I hope you have a great experience next time you're in a Lush store!
Lots of love
